Internet Services Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy:
Interlakes Wireless (“ILW”) is dedicated to providing fast and reliable High-Speed Internet Service to our customers. This Policy is written expressly to protect our customers from illegal or irresponsible activities. In order to keep our customers Internet experience enjoyable, all customers must follow the guidelines detailed below.
General Use:
Privacy:
The services provided by ILW may only be used for lawful purposes. Materials received and/or transmissions made in violation of any local, state or Federal regulation’s are prohibited. ILW does not normally monitor the activity of any specific account, but reserves the right to monitor an account’s activity if requested by legal authorities. ILW will cooperate with investigative inquiries posed by legal authorities. ILW reserves the right to examine system logs, accounting records, and other customer information to resolve system problems. ILW provides no private email services for its customers.
Hacking, Cracking, and Viruses:
Customers are prohibited from using ILW services to facilitate the use of hacking, cracking, and/or virus software to compromise or facilitate the compromising of the security or integrity of any company, data, program, code, resources, accounts, website, server, or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of password discovery utilities, cracking tools, or network probing tools.
Copyright Infringement:
Customers are prohibited from using ILW service to facilitate copyright infringement. This prohibition includes but is not limited to the illegal use of copyrighted material, material legally judged to be threatening or obscene or material protected by trade secret.
Resale:
Customer shall not resell or otherwise generate income by providing access to the Service to any other User without prior written authorization by ILW. If customer permits users to access the Services, customer shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ILW from and against all liabilities and costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from any and all claims by any such users in connection with the Service’s, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort (including ILW’s active or passive negligence), warranty, or strict liability. However, customer shall have no obligation to indemnify and defend ILW against claims for direct damages to real or tangible personal property, or for bodily injury or death, proximately caused by ILW’s negligence.
E-Mail:
ILW does not provide e-mail services for it’s customers but requires the following.
Spamming:
Unsolicited commercial e-mail is defined as any commercial e-mail message or multiple messages sent to one or more recipients that is not specifically requested by the recipient(s). Sending unsolicited commercial e-mail is prohibited. This includes posting to multiple newsgroups if any of the newsgroups to which you are posting pertain to subjects not directly related to the main topic of the posting. Operation of a mail server that allows unsolicited e-mail messages to pass through it (an open relay) is also prohibited on the ILW Network.
Impersonation:
Attempting to impersonate any person, including false IP addresses, domains, or other false information, is prohibited.
Chain Letters:
Chain letters are considered unsolicited e-mail and are restricted as such listed above under Spamming.
Mailbombs:
Mailbombing is defined as either e-mailing copies of a single message to many account holders, sending large or multiple files, or files that contain harmful programs, applets, or executable files, etc., generally with malicious intent. Sending, propagating, or replying to mail mailbombs is prohibited on the ILW network.
Complaints:
ILW reserves the right to investigate complaints regarding use of e-mail, regardless of the fact that ILW does not provide private e-mail services to its customers.
